Our recreation program takes place in the Spring and Fall. Each session lasts 6 weeks.
The first Saturday of recreation is a practice and may or may not include a scrimmage. Kindergarten and first grade will start the Spring season on May 14. Pre-K, second, and third/fourth grade will start the Spring season on May 17.
We are following the US Soccer model and the success of our Pre-K program to better focus on building key foundational skills and help build self-confidence in ball handling.
Yes, kindergarten and first grade will be co-ed.
Mike Britton will continue to run the Pre-K program on Saturday mornings. Mike and Glen have worked together to ensure skills learned on Wednesdays are reinforced on Saturdays.
Mike Britton and Glen Buckley may ask parents to help assist when needed.
We do not plan to make changes to second-fourth graders at this time.
The Spring program costs $95.
If you determine that your child/player will not be able to participate in the Recreation program, you will be eligible for a refund if the request is received prior to when registration closes. Refunds are not granted once registration is closed. Administrative fees as part of registration costs will not be refunded.
Please know that payment for any Mustangs program is completed through the Sports Engine system, and we cannot accommodate offline transactions.
Our program uses Pittsford town and school fields.
For the Spring program, Pre-K, kindergarten and first grade will receive a shirt. Second, third and fourth grade will receive a shirt and shorts.
For players ages 4-5 (pre-K), practices are held on Saturdays for about an hour. Players ages 6-9 practice once a week for about an hour, and hour-long games are held on Saturdays.
If your child is 5-years old, but is not currently in kindergarten, your child will be placed in the Pre-K program.
Our Pre-K program, led by Mike Britton, is co-ed.
